Holy crap guys this is big. So sending items via Gearbox'x shift system works CROSS-PLATFORM this means us pc players can help out all your console players with items and stuff like that!

Instructions!
To be clear I have not done this myself but I have had multiple reports that's this will work

For those who where asking about sending items from PC to xbox/ps4 these are the instructions on how some have done it (declaimer: I have no idea how or why it works or doesn't, but some how this did) 

1;logged on to PC   -Downloaded epics game launcher    -logged on with my epic account (i already had one)
If you don't have access to a PC you can use Fortnite of all things to send friend requests through epic. Fortnite's friend system is directly tied to epic games launcher so this should work even if you use the console/mobile version

2:  went to borderlands.com    -click shift tab -profile     -settings -linked Xbox/PS4 AND Epic ( you need an epic account)

now shift epic and xbox/ps4 are all linked

3: add someone who has the game on PC in the epic game launcher

4: the person on PC has to accept your request, and from my understanding, restart epic and borderlands. (been told it's taken a over a day for the shift account to show up)

5:for the PC play to send the items to the console, THEY MUST SEND TO THE SHIFT ACCOUNT. I can not stress this enough. if they send it to the epic poof its gone
