37As a kid, I spent most of my time searching for ample light sources while playing Pokémon on my Game Boy. Back then, even having something as simple as a few colors on the screen seemed futuristic. In spite of this, Nintendo's Game Boy consoles revolutionized video games while featuring an unlit monochrome screen. Aside from the Japan-exclusive Game Boy Light; there wasn't a properly backlit Game Boy console until the Game Boy Advance SP was released.
Nowadays, we've got handheld consoles with OLED panels and pixel-rich experiences. But, there's still something so special about the Game Boy Color.
So, what if we combined a screen from the present, and a Game Boy Color from the past?
