Upgrade to Windows 10

The computer you see on this video is the last computer I upgraded to Windows 10, I have 8 computers I use around my house and at work I upgraded to Windows 10 for the other 8 computers after the supposedly deadline for Windows 10 upgrades ending in July 29, 2016. To my surprise, the MediaCreationTool1809 allowed me to upgrade to Windows 10 from Windows 7 and Windows 8. This most recent upgrade to Windows 10 was performed 12/08/2019. I don't know if you will be able to upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10, because support for Windows 10 will officially end by the beginning of 2020.
I procrastinated to upgrade this computer, because this is my main computer. To my surprise, everything ran smoothly after the upgrade. Windows 10 is a good operating system, but it does require a fast storage device, like a SSD.
If you are using Windows 7, or Windows 8, you can still upgrade to Windows 10. I highly recommend that you use SSD in Windows 10, because Windows 10 updates regularly. Having a slow storage drive, like a mechanical hard drive as your primary storage device is an outdated concept. Mechanical hard drives can be used as 2ndry storage devices to store large amounts of data, but the boot drive or the drive that has your operating system should be a SSD. It could be a sata based SSD, or a NVMe based SSD. The faster the better.
You can move the cache files from your Windows temp folder, cache files from your internet browsers, and other folders on your primary drive to a hard drive. This could reduce the wear and tear on your SSD, because SSDs are negatively impacted when it writes and deletes data.
