US DOS for Apple II computer
Test of the MS-DOS alike operating system for Apple II computers and clones - US DOS. US DOS is Y2K compliant, supports virtual drives, BAT scripts, tree directory structure, filename extensions and comes with help file, 40 and 80 column modes in text and graphics and has full support of lower and upper characters. The very advanced operating system for the 8-bit Apple II computers was created in the early 1990-ies in Bulgaria on the Pravetz computers. The Pravetz computers came mostly with monochrome monitors, hence the lack of support for colors. Included in the boot disk are tools for listing and converting files from DOS 3.3 disks. The operating system was built with expandability in mind and easily could had become a standard for the machines, if the more advanced 16-bit and 32-bit systems didn't replace them.
Tested is version 1.11 of the USDOS operating system.
