Use Copilot in Microsoft OneNote
Here's how to Use Copilot in Microsoft OneNote.
i. There are a few reasons why OneNote Copilot might not be showing. Here are some things you can check:
* **Make sure you are using the latest version of OneNote.** You can check for updates by going to **File** - **Account** - **Check for updates**.
* **Make sure you are enrolled in the OneNote Insider program.** Copilot is currently in preview and is only available to Insiders. You can enroll in the Insider program by going to **File** - **Account** - **Office Insider** - **Join the Office Insider program**.
* **Make sure you have a Microsoft 365 subscription.** Copilot is only available to users with a Microsoft 365 subscription.
* **Make sure you have enabled Copilot in OneNote.** To do this, go to **File** - **Options** - **Add-ins** - **Copilot** and make sure that the **Enable Copilot** checkbox is checked.
If you have checked all of these things and Copilot is still not showing, you can try the following:
* **Restart OneNote.**
* **Sign out of OneNote and sign back in.**
* **Clear the OneNote cache.** To do this, press **Windows**+**R** to open the Run dialog box, and then type **%localappdata%\Microsoft\OneNote** and press **Enter**. Delete the **Cache** folder.
Here are some additional tips:
* Use natural language commands. The more natural your language, the better Copilot will be able to understand what you are trying to do.
* Be specific. The more specific you are, the more likely Copilot is to generate accurate suggestions.
Use keywords. If you are looking for a specific type of information, use keywords to help Copilot narrow down its search.
* Be patient. Copilot is still under development, so it may not always be perfect. If you are patient, Copilot will learn over time and become more accurate.
