Tutorial Information and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs):
▶ ️ Technique for this Tutorial: Sink Strainer Pour
▶ ️ Pouring Medium formula (unless otherwise stated in the video): My paints are mixed with paint, water and a pouring medium (Floetrol Owatrol) with a ratio of 1:1:3 - You may have to adjust your ratios depending on the paint brands you use.
Note: Floetrol Owatrol is thicker than the US version of Flood Floetrol so you might not need the water element when mixing your paints.
▶ ️ Cell Activator: When I use a cell activator, I use Australian Floetrol and Titanium White with the ratio of 4:1 - You can experiment with other alternatives like Silicone Oil, Vegetable glycerin, pre-stain wood conditioner or even just paint and water.
▶ ️ Color Palette for this Creation (Brand and Color Name):
Today I am using ready mixed Pebeo Pouring Paints. The colors I am using are: Magenta, Aqua Green, Silver, Gold, Black, Metallic Purple, Light Violet, Metallic Cobalt Blue, Turquoise Blue.
▶ ️ Hair dryer: When I use a hair dryer I use the Remington D3010 and always use the cool setting and the lowest blow speed.
The gadget I am using was purchased from The Range here in the UK (known as an Art Filter) - it can also be found on Amazon as a sink strainer.
