Using modern HDD and SSD with Windows 98 (Capacity limit BIOS settings)
I used a 4 TB Hard Drive and also a 500 GB Solid State Drive for a Windows 98 Retro Gaming PC. Because Windows 98 only supports small capacities, we can use BIOS options to limit the capacity.
BIOS settings I used:
504 MiB / 512 MB: 1024 Cylinders, 16 Heads and 63 Sectors
7.84 GiB / 8.42 GB: 1024 Cylinders, 255 Heads and 63 Sectors
I also tested this setting:
15.69 GiB / 16.85 GB: 2048 Cylinders, 255 Heads and 63 Sectors
