Using My Starting Technique Only (Sonic Jab, Digimon World Solo Technique Challenge)

Welcome to Digimon World. In this Challenge I have to complete the game and earn 100 Prosperity Points while only being allowed to use the Technique that I start the game with. There are 2 separate Digimon that you can begin the game with: Agumon or Gabumon. If you begin with Agumon then your starting Technique would be Spit Fire. If you begin with Gabumon then your starting Technique would be Sonic Jab. For a Challenge like this the Digimon that you start off with would determine which Technique you are restricted to for the entirety of the game. The Technique would either be Spit Fire or Sonic Jab.

I previously did this challenge where I started the game with Agumon, and was restricted to Spit Fire for the whole game. This time I decided to pick Gabumon and do a Sonic Jab Solo Technique Challenge. I have to reach 100 Prosperity Points while not being able to use any technique other than Sonic Jab. I'm not allowed to use Finishes, nor is it permitted for me to attack while flattened. The only way that I can inflict damage upon other Digimon is by using Sonic Jab. With all of this in mind I would only be able to attack in battles if my Digimon can use Sonic Jab. I therefore need to be very mindful of Digivolutions when proceeding through the game.

With Gabumon as my Digimon, I recruited Agumon, Betamon, Centarumon, Coelamon, Palmon, Kunemon, Bakemon, Penguinmon, Sukamon, Biyomon, Elecmon and Unimon. I also defeated the Otamamon at the Geko Swamp, granting myself access to the Volume Villa and obtaining the Amazing Rod. When recruiting Centarumon I ensured that I collected a Mouldy Meat, HappyMushroom and HiSpeed Disk from the Amida Forest. The Mouldy Meat was reserved as an item to make a suitable Digimon sick in Freezeland so that Fridgimon would rescue us, thus taking the first step towards recruiting him. The HappyMushroom and HiSpeed Disk were to be traded with the Mojyamons in Freezeland.

I Digivolved from Gabumon to Numemon and made the most of the oppurtunity to complete the first part of Grey Lord's Mansion while also collecting the items that are there. I took Numemon to Toy Town and had him Digivolve to Monzaemon. I then spoke to the Robot Digimon so that he unlocked the door leading towards WaruMonzaemon. I included a rule in this challenge that I'm not allowed to have any battles with Monzaemon as my Digimon. This is because I thought that Digivolving to Monzaemon at Toy Town could be seen as a cheap way of Digivolving to an ultimate, as well as gaining a large stat-boost. Despite not being allowed to get into any battles I did still recruit Monochromon and Vegiemon with Monzaemon as my Digimon.

When Monzaemon faded away I chose the pink egg and Digivolved from Yuramon to Tanemon. I used the Tanemon Bug to enable myself to upgrade the whole of the Green Gym in a single lifespan. I also made Tanemon sick in Freezeland, resulting in Fridgimon rescuing us. This was followed by me recruiting Mojyamon. When returning to the City I waited for Tanemon to fade away before choosing the yellow egg and starting afresh with a new lifespan.

I Digivolved from Poyomon all the way through to Leomon. With him as my Digimon I recruited Meramon, Ninjamon, Tyrannomon, Shellmon, Birdramon, Greymon, Seadramon, Kuwagamon, Kabuterimon, Kokatorimon, Fridgimon, Angemon, Whamon, Numemon, Patamon, Gabumon and Etemon. It was easy for me to enter Ice Sanctuary when recruiting Angemon because Leomon is a vaccine type. When recruiting Fridgimon I simply had to speak to him; the harder part had already been done when I had Tanemon as my Digimon.

Immediately after recruiting Etemon I purchased a Gold Banana from him and fed it to Leomon, making him Digivolve to Etemon. I was then able to recruit the rest of the Digimon, bringing myself up to 100 Prosperity Points. As Etemon is a virus type I was able to enter Grey Lord's Mansion without any difficulties. In Toy Town I was able to go straight to WaruMonzaemon since the door that leads towards him had already been unlocked.
