Hey, everyone, it’s my first unboxing and it’s gonna be a detailed review. We are gonna be unboxing Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception. A cool looking Japanese game with different gameplays and a cool visual novel story. With this unboxing, I will be diving into details of the design cover, the freebies and at the end, I’ll give a rating judging the cover presentation, freebies, design & and CD art.
Oh, I need to mention this - it has an anime too! So, anime fan’s you’re definitely gonna love this. =)

THE STORY
The only thing I can remember is coming to in the middle of an unfamiliar snowscape. Where that was or how I got there, I don't know. I couldn't even remember my own name. The memories just wouldn't come.

I only had a moment, left at a loss, to ponder what to do — but fate seemed intent on furthering my misery as a giant, insect-like monster burst from the snow and ice to attack me.

Naturally, I ran like hell. The creature cornered me anyway.

That's when SHE appeared, as if from nowhere — the beautiful, mysterious girl who saved my life.

She told me her name was Kuon. A beautiful, mysterious girl...

...with a tail and ears like a beast's.

THE GAMEPLAY
Gameplay in Utawarerumono is divided into two different segments. The game’s story progresses as the game alternates between each mode, with adventure sequences setting the stage for each successive battle.
In adventure segments, players can watch the story unfold through “visual novel”-style scenes and dialogue between characters therein. At some points, you may have the opportunity to choose Haku’s next destination.
As you progress through the story, critical confrontations will play out as SRPG-style battles.
