UV Max Speedrun of Japanese Community Project Map 12 in 3:28
245This was a fun map to Max, but I think that if I grinded it much more it would quickly stop being fun and become frustrating. The reason is simple: it's a very compact level with tight corridors, often diagonal, and the number of times that you get blocked by elastic collisions is huge.
This run was part of a friendly competition we did in the discord. I did a practice session for this map on-stream, and during that very same stream 4shockblast pulled off a 3m31 exit. Quite a good time. A couple of days afterwards I grinded a bit more and managed to beat 4shockblast, while pulling off a super-lucky exit at 1 HP (the resulting run is what you see in this video).
After I got this run, both 4shockblast and Dubzzz quickly beat my record again, with 3m14 and 3m18, respectively. I think if I grinded more I could also get a sub 3m20 and get close to their times, but I need to move on to other projects, and this run had quite an epic exit anyway, so I settled for this.
