From what the developer has said in the last update notes about V7.0, the updated should be right around the corner for us to be able to download and play. There are going to be many different items and systems that are implemented with this update. The biggest one for a series with perma-death like Season 3 is the new AI system update. This new system is going to change how we are able to fight vambies and make the swarms more difficult as a whole. Since we can't test how this new system is going to work, we are going to need to have safety precautions in place for the first swarm.
