Attention, Noble Einherjar: Valkyrie Profile sequel just dropped.

Valkyrie Elysium is a free demo for PS4 and PS5. It's a 6 gigabyte download that can be played offline. It's very good.

It won't make the Elden Ring fans forget about their GOTY, but it's got meaty combat and some decent exploration-based loot. You won't get lost, you don't have to manage a stamina meter, and you don't have to beat your head against a really hard boss in the first 3 hours of the game. So there's that.

The free PS4 demo has 5+ hours of content, multiple difficulty levels, and the ability to replay the (big) first chapter for speed runs and score chases.
