Valorant is Getting a Major Overhaul in 2024 - Esports News Update
Riot Games Announces Major Changes to Tier 2 Valorant in 2024
Riot Games has announced major changes to the Tier 2 Valorant ecosystem for 2024. These changes are designed to make the Tier 2 scene more sustainable and vibrant, and to give more players and teams the opportunity to compete at the highest level.
One of the biggest changes is that Challenger Leagues will now be running year-round, instead of just from January to June. This will give players more opportunities to compete and develop their skills. Additionally, Challengers Ascension will be moved to September, after Champions, so that it has its own moment in the spotlight.
Riot is also introducing a new player mobility system in 2024. This system will allow teams in the International Leagues to build affiliate relationships with Challenger League teams. This will make it easier for players to move up the ranks, as they will be able to transfer between teams more easily.
Finally, Riot is also changing the rules so that Premier teams can now qualify for the Challengers circuit. This will give more teams the opportunity to compete at the highest level of Valorant.
These changes are a positive step for the future of Valorant esports. They will make the Tier 2 scene more competitive and sustainable, and they will give more players and teams the opportunity to achieve their dreams.
