Valteil, the nerd, or enlightened one can be found at the Grand Library, upon approaching him he will fling himself into an abyss made of his books.

While Valteil won’t do as much raw damage as the fight with the tormented one, he has the ability to cast hurting, which will dismember will still inflict a decent amount of damage.

If the fight with Valteil goes on long enough, he will sprout a third eye that can cast the whispers of Grogoroth, which will kill a party member within three turns, making it game ending if you are doing a solo run.

But like Franquios, there is a unique angle that the player can take the make the fight a bit easier. If you use the talk skill, the enlightened nerd will quiz you on the inworld lore that is found in the books through out the dungeon. These can be tricky since some of them are asking for every specific years.

If you answer correctly, the book worm will take 400 to 600 points of damage to all of his body parts, dealing upwards of 2000 dmg points if you are lucky.
