Valve is Expanding the PS4 Controller Support for Steam
3During the Steam developer Days Event this week, Valve announced that it will be making changes to the PS4 Controller API. Users will be able to customize the DualShock 4 bindings, gyro and the touchpad to their liking.
It s going to let you get more accessible ways to play your games and the control APIs are very similar to the steam controller. Valve extended the PS4 controller support due to the fact that it is similar to the steam controller and it will make the choice of choosing a PS4 controller over an Xbox 360 or Xbox one controller a little more competitive.
Dualshock 3 controllers did not go very well and were always a hassle to get working. Now with this, you will not need extra drivers.
