[ Vanquish ]
"Act 01: Mission 03-08 (God Hard) [Edit]"

This is an archive of my gameplay of "God Hard" difficulty in Vanquish, so I can see how can get better. Obviously I edited out my deaths, since I didn't use guides or anything and figuring it all myself.

Vanquish's God Hard difficulty is like Bayonetta's Climax and Metal Gear Rising's Revengeance mode but a lot harder than those two.

Read below about my "Stage Comments", "Weapon Usage Decisions" and "God Hard Difficulty Information" to better understand what I am up against.

Any suggestions is welcomed from vet players (since I am horrible in this game lol).


{LL's Comments}
[A01M04: Rescue]
- Laser Cannon so good. Taking out the drive of the transport ship instantly kills everyone (including the enemies' reinforcements).

[A01M05: Trust]
- Yes, I screwed up (didn't realize it) that the Lock-On Laser wasn't hitting the enemies because I was too close and the laser was hitting the frontal part.. gah.

[A01M06: Darkness]
- Hate those large Jellyfishes. I had to retry a few times to get the chest to randomly spawn a shotgun so I can use it to kill them easily in the beginning.

[A01M07: Seismic]
- This is one of the hardest part in Act 01 (aside from M02: Lobby). You must kill the two snipers in the beginning ASAP before the Romanov-Gs starts firing their Large-Heat-Seeking Missiles at you (instant death if you get hit).

Staying back when the enemies' reinforcement comes is important because another Romanov will appear.

The sound of the "large heat-seeking missile" beeping noise is so nerve-wrecking because you're afraid that it will hit you resulting in an instant death.

[A01M08: Hostile]
- I used Heavy Machine Gun to help lower the boss's damage.


{LL's Choice Weapons Opinions}
[Laser Cannon]
- My prefer primary weapon
- Range as long as sniper (making it safe to use to attack)
- No ammo usage (uses Boost instead)
- Very powerful damage
- Disadvantage is it uses your Boost as ammo (which is used to avoid or go into Boost Mode [Blade-SlowMo]). So you can't use it too much or you can go into Overheat making you completely vulnerable.

[Shotgun]
- Great for close-up kills and huge slow enemies that are vulnerable to weak spot hits.

[Sniper Rifle]
- I use it if I can't target properly with the Laser Cannon

[Lock-On Laser]
- Great for taking out lowly enemies while being safe from their onslaught and attacks

[Heavy Machine Gun & Anti-Armor Pistol, Rocket Launcher]
- For bosses

[LFE & Disc Launcher]
- Throwaway freebie against lowly minions to use against


{GOD HARD Difficulty Information}
- All enemies have more HP, damage, near 100% accuracy and extreme quick reaction (dodging, attack is near instant especially enemy snipers).

- New enemies placement (like two Romanov at the Lobby instead of one)

- All enemies prioritize in killing you if in range.

- Enemies grenade spam nonstop (if they can use it)

- You die in ONE or TWO hits. Grenades, Melees, Huge Missiles, Snipers are instant death generally.

- Your "Boost" (think of it as Blade Mode) only last for 3 seconds instead of the usual 7+ seconds.

- "Overheat" and HP recovery (Green-Yellow-Red light on suit) takes 2x the amount of time to recover.

- Can't upgrade weapons (no damage, speed, range, capacity upgrades)
