Vapor World Demo - Use Drugs to Heal and Parrying to Kill in a Nightmare World (likely from drugs)
17A quick playthrough of Vapor World where you play as a kid in a hallucinogenic drug state to be in an otherworld and use drugs to heal. Maybe your character needs an intervention to escape his nightmare drug-addled state of mind.
Looks really good. Much like Deepening Fire this is more parry focused, as while you do have dodge iframes the dodge mechanic is pretty weak. The boss does have a red eye warning for a grab attack that does require a dodge.
The demo is really short although it does take some time to get the hang of the timing for parries. While there are checkpoints if you die, the game doesn't reward you with more drugs to heal with unless you die. This was a second playthrough.
