Vasco Bug is Fixed
1The next patch for Starfield has been announced and is available as a Beta on Steam. The patch notes are long - very very long - but for me the absolute standout item was this item:
- Fixed an issue that could cause Vasco to appear incorrectly in the player's ship.
I have a build for a two-deck Class A vessel, where the only ladder is the one leading up from the docking bay, but Vasco insists on finding a way to squat in one of the Hab Spines, blocking it.
In this recording, I refit my Star Turkey to be the way I want it, then search the ship to see where Vasco has stationed himself. In this check, at least, I confirmed that Vasco is no longer blocking a hallway! In fact, I was unable to locate him at all.
I thought maybe this was a "Vasco is still walking to the ship from where he was standing earlier" but he was assigned to the ship, and the Crew screen shows him aboard; also, I remember leaving the ship set up so he was just blocking a hallway where I could go around a different path.
So my Vasco-blocking-the-hall problem is fixed.
In a side note, they fixed the "able to grab the Mk-1 spacesuit despite not being able to unlock the cabinet" bug, so I now consider that my owning of a Mk.1 spacesuit at this time is ... not good.
Looks like I'm dumping my footage of my current starfield play-through and starting over, because I don't like basing a long term game on having taken advantage of a bug that was important enough to fix. *SIGH*
