With the new multimeter having arrived and the easy part done (unboxing), it's now time to get to the hard part and write some software that'll let us use the Vici VC8145 under linux and with Openbroadcaster (OBS).
Written primarily in C, utilising SDL2 as the engine for the graphics/font handling.
Part 1 - we're mostly just trying to break through the protocol and bits, working out sorting out the ambiguities in the data format specification found off the internet.
There's also a bit of a persistent problem with the serial link crashing out, throwing a real spanner in the works that could derail the whole project unless resolved.
