Old laptop, stopped turning on after I had fixed up everything else; a quick inspection revealed that the contacts/fingers on the 4-way flex that relies on compression/friction fit in to the FPC socket had broken off like it had been beating in to a concrete wall while drunk.

Shops closed tomorrow, no chance of overnight replacement, and I had just thrown out all my old laptop chassis's... let the hackjob begin.
