The reason I chose the Aerico beyond what I stated in the video was also due to Ablative armor. It is the only defense type that can be regenerated from absolute 0. And as I said in the video, there will be another video later after I have a full Elite fleet of them to show their setup and the fleet formation used. The intention is to cut out a portion of time spent in a target so you can let the AI farm the targets for you, while you use Dreadnoughts to farm other things.
