Hey Guys, i proudly present you the first complete Speedrun for Venetica on youtube! Yes, it has no Audio Commentary since this was a offline-run i created, but since i normally commentate in german when i'm streaming i guess this gets more watchable for you (most of the dialogues were skipped anyways... ;) )
Yes, its the german version of the game, but since its from a german developer and i'm German... well... its more likely that i play the original german release than the english version.

This is not the first speedrun i did for this game, but its the first one which is quite good, so this is the first one i post here on youtube. I started routing and running this game after i made a commentated playthrough about a year ago. Of Course i didn't spend a whole year on this game, i just played it when i felt like doing so with some weeks or even months of breaks between the days i worked on it.
Since i am the only person that is actively speedrunning this game the run is more based on route optimization then on glitches. The game has alot of glitches, but only a few are usable for a speedrun. The major gamebreaking glitch i used was the ladder glitch found by DukeSetz. The setup to go from the inner district to the arsenal district was found by kakiru. The videos of them where te only thing in this run i didn't find myself.

The run is quite good from what i know that is possible in this game. At some points i got a bit RNG-trolled, but i didnt lose that much time. As i completed this run, my sum of best segments got down to 2:14:23. Maybe i will be ale to pull off a sub 2:15, but i don't think that there's alot more possible if i dont find any other gamebreaking glitches.

If it gets request i might do a post-commentary for this run, but since my english is not the best think twice before requesting one ;)

Sooo, damit wäre auch endlich mal ein Speedrun für Venetica auf Youtube zu finden. Da ich diesen Run offline gemacht habe gibts auch keinen Audiokommentar dazu. Wenn ihr wollt, kann ich einen erstellen, aber da dieser Speedrun nicht allzu viele Glitches enthält, denke ich, dass das meiste im Run selbsterklärend ist.

Auch hier möchte ich noch einmal erwähnen, dass ich aufgrund der wenigen Videos, die es zu Glitches in Venetica gibt, das meiste von der Route selbst zusammen stellen musste. Von anderen Youtubern konnte ich nur auf den Walking on Air-Glitch von DukeSetz zurück greifen, sowie auf das Setup von kakiru, wie man damit vom inneren Bezirk in den Arsenal-Bezirk kommt, ohne auf das Schiff zu müssen (an dieser Stelle danke an die Beiden, auch wenn sies nicht verstehen werden... :) )

Von der Zeit her glaube ich nicht, dass ich mit momentanem Kenntnisstand allzu viel verbessern kann. Meine Sum of Best Segments liegt gerade mal 3 Minuten unter dieser Bestzeit. Möglicherweise kann ich mit kleineren Optimierungen noch eine Zeit unter 2 Stunden 15 Minuten heraus holen, aber für eine noch bessere Zeit müssten meiner Ansicht nach weitere Glitches gefunden werden.
