VG's Ideas for Retros in Mario Kart 8
Late Update: Yeah. I waited a bit too long to update this, but the game is called Mario Kart 8. Also, it seems that a few of my ideas or "predictions" for retros are in Mario Kart 8. Anyways, enjoy this vid.
With E3 coming soon and the fact Mario Kart U's going to be part of it (supposedly), we can only wait until then and see what it has to offer. Until that time happens, we have these type of vids and topics: ones that are essentially ideas or predictions for courses in the next game. With retros being a staple of Mario Kart since Mario Kart DS, there's no question Nintendo will probably add 16 more familiar courses in HD form. So, yeah. These are the final sixteen courses I thought of, and I recorded the footage in three different ways. Super Mario Kart, Mario Kart: Super Circuit, and Mario Kart DS were recorded via emulators. Mario Kart 64, Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, and Mario Kart Wii were recorded via Dazzle. Mario Kart 7 was recorded with my iTouch 4th Gen (recording the replay was the only way I could figure out how to record it). All were time trial variants of the courses, so some obstacles were removed from the courses. I mention these during the vid. Additionally, I muted the game audio and replaced it with the appropiate music that belongs to the courses themselves. I don't take credit for the music nor the fanmade Mario Kart U logo (which was done by xxcamtro_saviraxx from DeviantArt). Finally, this is just my own opinion for courses as retros in Mario Kart U; I'm more than happy to hear anybody else's opinions. Something else I should mention is that Mario Kart is literally the only game series I play each game sequentially. By that, I mean I played them in release order without skipping one of them then returning to the one I skipped after playing the one after the one I skipped. ....hopefully that made sense. Ex: Let's say I played Super Mario Kart first. I skipped Mario Kart 64, but played Super Circuit next. And then got to play Mario Kart 64 after playing Super Circuit. That isn't playing them in release order. And Mario Kart's literally almost as old as I am. XD That just shows my age a little. ._.'
Programs Used: VBA, SNES9X, Desmumue, Pinnacle Studio 14's Importer, Camtasia Studio 7, and Videopad Video Editor.
Other Music used: Menu Select from Mario Kart 64 and Staff Roll from Mario Kart: Double Dash!!
Special Thanks to GilvaSunner for the Mario Kart 7 Music, xxcamtro_saviraxx for the fanmade Mario Kart U logo, and PokemonGameMaster44 for getting me to make this vid.
