200Another clip of VICPOL vehicles responding sent in from Melbourne. Today we see a VW Passat wagon and Hyundai Santa Fe responding P1, using the opposite lanes to navigate through a heavily congested intersection.
Yes, VICPOL officers are legally able to do this if the situation requires it, providing appropriate caution is used (as it clearly is in this clip). Remember you must always give way to emergency vehicles with lights and sirens engaged - even if they're going the "wrong way" in your lane!
