Helping children make better choices around technology is much harder than a technological crackdown, whether imposed by the government or by a frustrated parent. The solution isnβt simple. It involves continuing dialogue between parents and children, some moderate degree of monitoring and limit-setting, and support and guidance from the institutions and organizations that make up our community. In the long run, this is the only approach that has a serious chance of working.
