It's a discussion as old as video games themselves: Do video games make people violent? The answer is simpler than you think: No. No, they absolutely do not. No more than movies, TV, books... They are merely another medium for people to express whatever story they want to tell and if that story is violent... well, then it's violent.

Playing Red Dead Redemption or The Last of Us or Ghost of Tsushima doesn't make you want to kill people. It might make you want to be a cowboy or a samurai or prepare for the zombie apocalypse, but that's about it. Video games are a beautiful medium that is misunderstood due to its novelty in comparison to the others, but... more in our Judgment Call.
