Vidit Gujrathi tells us why having a broad repertoire, once you become a strong player, is important
Vidit Gujrathi played a fine game from the White side of the Breyer in Ruy Lopez to beat his Austrian opponent Andreas Diermar at the second round of the Olympiad in Batumi in 2018.
India won the match 3.5-0.5 and Vidit's game was the first to finish which gave the others much needed confidence to play as per the needs of the position. We ask Vidit not just about his game but also about how he manages to learn new openings every now and then and immediately make use of it in his games.
