According to the votes in a poll in the community tab on YouTube, every new entry in the Trails of Cold Steel series Must be the best! Here's the extended logic:

With each new release we would expect fewer people to have played each new entry. This is because in order to play Cold Steel 4 you need to have played Cold Steel 1-3, and to play Cold Steel 3 you would have to play Cold Steel 1 and 2, etc. So logically we should expect a distribution like this, if people were answering with the last game in the series they played:

Cold Steel 1: ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Cold Steel 2: ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Cold Steel 3: ||||||||||||||||||||
Cold Steel 4: ||||||||||

This effect would have been multiplied by the fact that people will not pick the last game they've played every time. Assuming their responses were distributed randomly across all of the games that they played, it would have actually looked more like this:

Cold Steel 1: |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Cold Steel 2: |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Additional considerations:
My viewers are obviously not an even distribution, there is definitely a selection bias. There's also likely a self-selection bias of participants abstaining from participation unless they've played all entries, etc.

But even still, I don't think that would be enough to counteract the expected distribution. But let me know your thoughts in the comments below!
