This turned out to be a pretty solid Shmup. I'll admit that the perspective did off-put me when I originally played this game. I couldn't beat stage 1. I since gained a lot of a patience and skill over the years and I've been able to challenge this game. In any case, getting used to the perspective is a big hurdle to getting good at this game. You need to fathom the perspective and then execute typical twitch dodges that you see in many other shmups. That's tough. My advice is to just try to stick with it, it can be discouraging but there is a great game in Viewpoint. It gained my respect pretty quickly once you're dodging some of the patterns. It's a nice rush and very enjoyable. The charge mechanic is well done and the enemy & stage design variety is astounding. People being discouraged by its difficulty is a deterrent to what this game succeeds at. Great game!
