2Some games are timeless, this what I can say about Ezio Trilogy. We are going to be introduced to the Golden Era of Assassin's Creed and the best Assassin at least for me - Ezio Auditore.
Assassin's Creed 2 released in 2009 is the second installment of the game and the first one in Ezio Trilogy.
So the story goes like this, an Assassin turned bartender "Desmond Miles" kidnapped by Abstergo Industries, the world's largest pharmaceutical conglomerate, who are also modern era face of the Templars. Dr. Warren Vidic and his assistant, Lucy Stillman, force Desmond to participate in a series of trials revolving around the "Animus", a machine capable of translating the genetic memories of his ancestors into a simulated reality. Vidic instructs him to relive the early years of Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad, a senior member of the Assassin Brotherhood during the time of the Third Crusade. Uncovering the life of Altaïr, Desmond as understands the true intentions of Templars, involving Pieces of Eden with ability to control aspects of Human population.
After the these events, Lucy rescues Desmond from Abstergo and steals the Memory Core of Subject 16. Desmond is taken to hideout where two other Assassin's Shaun Hastings and Rebecca Crane starts helping him. The idea is to convert Desmond into more capable Assassin by living the life memories of Ezio Auditore. Ezio born into a wealthy Auditore Family in Florentine, Italy during Renaissance. The journey covers the key people of Ezio's life and how he turned into an Assassin after the loss of his family in the hands of the Templars. Along the journey, Desmond uncovers some clues left by Subject 16 which tells the truth about the pieces of EDEN and the one who came before i.e. First Civilization.
