Another video from Summer 2010 that I was too lazy to process and upload soon enough.

Of the starting line-up for this game, Slick Clyde's probably my second favourite character. His vehicle is surprisingly fast for what it is, it's somewhat well-armoured, and Slick's got one of the best special weapons around. It requires no skill to score a hit whatsoever. Just hold down that button, and targets will fry.

When it came to VS mode though, Slick wasn't as good as I'd hoped. It's all well and good being able to rain electric death on the AI, but any competent human player would counter the Lightning Rod by simply using a fast vehicle. Even something as slow as Beezwax's Stag Pickup could avoid being melted if they kept their foot down and drove in as straight a line as was possible.

Still, it was something that stopped anyone from camping around areas waiting for crates to re-appear, so tactical use was a viable option.

Like my previously uploaded John Torque video, this has had the stage select and other various bits cut from processing. I would have left the ending FMV in, but y'know... old disc is in bad condition.
