Viper was a steel roller coaster that formerly operated at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, NJ. Back during its conception in 1995, Viper was considered the latest innovation of Togo, a company famous for manufacturing the Ultra Twister coaster. This new ride would be capable of turning left and right, and also feature inversions: a unique dive loop, and a heartline roll. While it was originally praised for its intense layout, Viper's roughness over the years would lead to low ridership and ultimately its removal in 2005. El Toro, a record-breaking wooden roller coaster, would replace Viper's plot of land in 2006 and even utilize the same station building.
