Virginia quarterback Brennan Armstrong completes this 47 yard pass to wide receiver Lavel Davis Jr. vs. Miami, 10/29/22.
Unfortunately, this big reception by Davis Jr. was his last one. He didn't catch a pass in the Cavaliers next two games, then was shot to death on Virginia's campus at around 10 p.m. Sunday 11/13. Two other Virginia football players were also fatally gunned down in a totally senseless mass shooting. Two people were also shot and injured.
RIP to Davis Jr. and the other players that were murdered, along with the folks who were injured in the shooting. My prayers are out to Davis Jr.'s family as well as the families of the other folks killed or injured in the gunfire.
Republicans and Democrats need to work together in Congress to find ways of passing legislation that would strongly discourage future shootings. The death penalty may not be a bad idea, in my opinion.
