Mass Effect is possibly BioWare's most successful and influential RPG, which is even more impressive when you consider it's a huge departure from their previous games in terms of gameplay, and in terms of writing - it's their first original setting. The world of Mass Effect is really interesting, and the writing is at least on par with Dragon Age's, so I consider this game to be one of the best computer RPGs of all time.
