Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution PS2 Real Hardware
Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution PS2 Real Hardware
Output with an HDMI cable and upscaled to 1024 x 768 resolution (to maintain the 4:3 Aspect Ratio). The game (like most PS2 games) only outputs at 480i resolution so it comes out really blurry. Is there any way to force PS2 games to 480p?
In any case, a great game with amazing graphics. Of course the PS2 was never going to manage an arcade perfect port of VF4, but this is a very competent port that looks sufficiently similar. The uneven terrain of 3 has been ditched, which I personally found to be a shame, but its got really solid gameplay. I would definitely have preferred a Dreamcast port though, and I feel like a 480p Dreamcast version looking like a cross between DOA2 and VF3 would have probably looked closer to the Arcade version, even if it would have had to have a few more cutbacks than this version.
