A complete playthrough of Sega's 1996 Sega Game Gear versus fighter "adaptation", Virtua Fighter Animation. Also released for the Master System in Brazil.

It looks rough only because it was so ambitious, I think. It has a lot of impressive effects going on, especially given the limitations of the platform. The story is utterly insipid but oddly endearing, and enough of the original moves survived to make this almost kind of resemble something related to Virtua Fighter.

For a legitimate port, this would be absolutely foul. However, the 8-bit Game Gear rendition makes concessions for the platform while adding a wholly unique experience for a versus fighter. It's a pretty fair trade-off, taken in context..
