Virtua Fighter was the first 3D fighting game to hit the arcades and was ported to the Sega Saturn. The first version of Virtua fighter did not have textures mapped around the polygon figures, Virtua Fighter 2, using the AM2 hardware platform supported that, The Sega Saturn had AM2 type hardware and a "Remix" version of Virtua Fighter was released that added the textures and updated music, it was a free mail in to anyone who bought this game.
