This is a full-game playthrough of Virtual Hydlide for the Sega Saturn. Completed in 36:50, this single-segment speedrun uses original Saturn hardware and started from a save file created at the beginning of the game, to prevent some run-ending randomness later on.

Other notes: we used the seed "NOMOWO" to get the map layouts and item placements you see in this run. Other seeds follow the same basic gameplay progression with shuffled maps and items. And yeah, the game really does run at like 5 fps - that's part of its charm!
