This week I had help from the following co-hosts:
Agamemnus
BOSL
Fatherjack
Moo Roo
Games played in order:
-Proton Pulse
Get ready for Classic Arcade Brick-Breaking Action from a whole new perspective! Try out the demo for this Oculus Rift instant classic experience.
This was a really cool demo and I love Rift demos that just use the positional tracking for a control system. Cool idea and this was a comfortable Rift experience that any newcomer could easily pickup and enjoy

-Radial G
Radial-G is a high-octane sci-fi racer for the VR generation! Climb into the cockpit and tear up the track to set the fastest lap time in the world! Fully immerse yourself in intense races on tubular tracks featuring gut-wrenching twists, turns and drops.
This is a cool racer that kind of reminds me of Pod Racer on the N64. Definitely room to expand the game, but this was just the Single Player demo. Would be much more fun in a competitive environment and with more things to interact with on the course.

-Vanguard V
Vanguard V is an all-new Virtual Reality action game that takes the best aspects of flight and adventure. Driven by music, story, and innovative VR design, Vanguard Valkyrie is a celebration of gameplay to welcome Virtual Reality to the world.
This game had a very interesting cross between third person and first person control. It still felt comfortable and intuitive once I had worked out that you controlled where you looked. I'm keen to see where this goes in its development.

-Snowboarding
We wanted to make a fun experience for the Oculus Rift, and what is more fun than virtually snowboarding (well, snowboarding). But this is as close as you'll get to the real thing!
This was a cool example of what you could do with a snowboarding/skating experience with the Rift though the controls left something to be desired and I definitely would have liked to have had a body. Might be much improved with something like the Virtuix Omni.

-Unpossible
Unpossible will test your skills, your reflexes, and even your memory. It will make you smile. It will probably make you scream. You will die often and it will always be your fault. Fight to learn the obstacles…they already know how to fight you. Relentless. Thrilling. Unpossible!
I really liked this demo. It brought out my competitive nature and was incredibly challenging since you barely got anywhere on the first few tries. Didn't feel nauseous at all despite the flurry of objects passing by.

-Live For Speed
Live for Speed is a serious racing simulator. No arcade modes, no steering aids - YOU have to do the driving. It is therefore highly recommended to drive the sim with a steering wheel, because even though you can use keyboard and/or mouse, a wheel is what you use in a real car, so a wheel should be used in a serious racing simulator. Especially when going online, where fast reactions are required.
This game is a perfect example of why the Rift fits perfectly with racing sims. Draw distance is much improved with the higher resolution of the DK2. I can't wait to see how much realism they pump into these games now that you can completely immerse yourself in it.

-Lava Inc
Lava Inc. is a (fictional) company that refines lava. The factory is closed in the weekend so the employee's thought it would be fun to create some sort of rollercoaster experience in the complex.
The factory is located deep underground and has different rooms that all refine the lava for numerous purposes! I mean.. who wouldn't want to have a box of lava.
This was an interesting concept for a coaster. I didn't really feel anything with it like I did with the Helix demo, though the increase/decrease speed feature was interesting to use and could provide much more diversity with coasters.
