Visiting the 2024 Midwest Gaming Classic - A Retro Gamer's Paradise!
I have always wanted to go to a gaming convention and I discovered through YouTube the Midwest Gaming Classic, which I attended this past weekend on April 5th and 6th 2024. The convention is a massive event held every year at the Milwaukee, Wisconsin Baird Center in Downtown Milwaukee. There are 1,000+ retro gaming consoles, pinball machines, and arcade cabinets. Also, live events like retro gaming music cover bands, wrestling, a massive vendor hallf, workshops and talks, a portable console modders room, board games, and much more. I really had a blast and tried to share as much as I could of the convention.
I took the Illinois Zephyr Amtrak from Galesburg, Illinois to Chicago then the Hiawatha up to Milwaukee Intermodal downtown and stayed at the Hilton Fairfield Inn a block from the convention center. I cover my train travel in the video as well which was a lot of fun as I'm sort of a mild rail nut.
There's a lot covered in the video, especially the game center and the vendor hall. I was there on the preview night as well as Day 1. I did a little bit of game trading and shopping and played a lot of pinball which I show in the video.
This is my first travel video or video at all like this, so please show some love with a like or thumbs up. Subscribe if you want to see more from me, I try to post upbeat gaming videos and just things of this nature.
If you want to know more about me, I do have a blog over at https://www.mrdavepizza.com
I appreciate you watching the video, thanks so much, and please stick around to watch some more.
In the mean time, I'll see you in the next video, and enjoy your games!
