On May 1st, 2024 the management at the lakeside mall in sterling heights MI announced the Mall would permanently close on July 1st, 2024 this is a documentation of the Mall before the closing, we visited the mall on May 15th, 2024 the mall is very dead and has the most leasable tenant space of any mall in Michigan meaning in short 80% of tenants have already moved out of the mall or closed, and only two anchor stores remain Macy's and JCPenney, in this adventure I was joined by other fellow friend and urban explorer @ExploringWithPhillip as we checked out his childhood mall
