So I filmed a phenomenon with VLC's DVD playback which occurs even when I play a backup from a hard drive. When there's a black screen, it screws up the VLC timecode display. It just can't be trusted. And some codecs also screw it up. Otherwise a great media player with some things, but eh. But DVD playback sucks in two ways. Other is this, other is that it skips with short videos in menus and elsewhere and cuts off the movie too early sometimes when going back to main menu. Unacceptable. Someone fix this shit, now.
