Asylum Jam is a yearly event (started in 2013) which challenges indie developers to create a horror game within 48 hours. The main challenge is that developers must not "use asylums, psychiatric institutes, medical professionals or violent/antipathic/’insane’ patients as settings or triggers."

This is all to raise awareness for stigmas associated with mental health and horror games. To show the world that those with mental health issues are not monsters in a game, but are real people who need our support!
