VLOG | Backpacking in Alps | Leutasch Gorge & Lautersee Lake | Germany 2021 | SATURDAY SPECIAL
3Well, although, technically, I repurposed my laptop bag for this, it can still be called backpacking.
In a weekend during my official trip to Munich, we headed on to #Mittenwald on my colleague's suggestion, in his car, which was around 1.5 hrs far from our hotel. Yes, #Alps is just that close from my HQ and man, is it gorgeous!
The region is called #Bavaria and hence this side of the Alps is called Bavarian Alps. Mittenwald is pretty much in the borders of Germany & Austria, while the gorge we went to fell in both countries.
It was November 2021, and it was cold as f**k when we reached there! The whole town was sleeping and we started our hike through breathtaking landscape, right by #Leutasch river, a stream of the #Isar.
I am not used to hikes, so I kept falling behind, but never mind that. When we reached the #Leutaschklamm gorge, I was absolutely astounded! All my senses were having their best time - standing up on that steel walkway with a see through grid floor, looking down at the narrow and steep valley, at the pristine blue water of Leutasch - oh what a rush!
This went on for around 1km, after which we headed on a new trail through the forests. The #alpine forest itself was a thing of beauty - the color, the landscape.. just everything was so serene! Our last destination was #Lautersee lake, an alpine water lake with amazing views. I took a million pics, goes without saying.
From there we made out way down to Mittenwald again, enjoying sunny views of the alps. That was pretty much the end of the trip, but the sights and sensations from the hike would always keep running through my mind.
