(VLOG?) Batocera V5.25 on Intel Atom N280 and 1GB of DDR2 RAM
I kinda want to make these kind of videos sometimes. But due to lack of resources around me, which I can't blame, the ideas are pretty much limited.
Keep in mind that I've cutted some of the parts to not make the thing gets dragged on. I also made this as soon as I went back from college.
Regarding about Batocera, let's just say that it's an entire Linux-based OS that is specifically aimed for retrogaming. The Retroarch are mostly preconfigured(some exception like PC-98 which needs to turn on the "Key to Joypad" if using np2kai core).
Unfortunately, the best that the laptop can do is GBA games(some even struggle) due to inability to render an actual 3D object. I've tried running Quake III on this laptop and although it runs at reasonable speed, it heats up pretty fast on Lubuntu 18.04. It was made not for tgese reasons afterall, knowing the limit is only at WinXP.
