VORG - Rarely Seen Footage of a Lost 16-Bit RTS - Video Games On Video Gaiden 1 - Import Gaming FTW
Souseikishou VORG (創世紀章ヴォーグ) was a Super Famicom real-time simulation game from Naxat that had a planned release date of March, 1995 in Japan. Never heard of it? Well, that's because it was ultimately canceled shortly before its launch, joining a long list of unreleased games. What separates this from many other scrapped game titles, however, is that there's barely any information about the game online in English or Japanese, and as of 2022, no ROMs are available on the internet. It seems like it is a truly forgotten game.
I found some trailers for the game in a couple of rare "not for sale" Japanese VHS tapes that were intended to generate pre-orders of upcoming software releases. As far as I know, the footage in these tapes are not available publicly anywhere online. In this video, I talk about those tapes, give information on the gameplay and other features of VORG based on its trailer, and show the trailer itself with English subtitles.
