Mini review: VR Karts is a simple kart racing game. The graphics are cartoony and simple but remarkably sharp, although it is a bit lifeless. If you look in the distance it's not as blurry as driveclub or dirt rally, which really surprised me. The gameplay is decent, the race controls are really simple, too simple actually. Shooting powerups by aiming with your head is quite fun. Collision detection sucks, sometimes you hit a wall and you come to a complete stop. But the controls are so easy that you'll hardly hit any walls. The music and sound effects are pretty bad, cartoon music and cheap FX, especially the wind effect. All in all it's just a very bland game. For 10 euros or less you might enjoy it, but only if you're really desperate for a kart game in VR. This game is definitely not worth 40 euros.
Also good to know: It's very kid friendly and I get slightly motion sick after playing for 45 minutes.
