Giving Project Malice a go as per a recommendation from Locas. A nice variety of the lower tier monsters and the effects look good. It modifies the map background so it messed me up for the first couple of maps until I got rid of it. I discovered a music artist named MASTER BOOT RECORD yesterday on bandcamp and decided to rock it for this playthrough. Admittedly, it's hard to appreciate the music when demons are yelling and guns are firing.
