I complete the VVVVVV custom level Dimension Open in 3 minutes, 10 seconds, and 536 milliseconds, tool-assisted. This is the commentated version of the TAS. For the uncommentated version with more technical details in the description, go to https://youtu.be/La1nXmlw_Ow.

This is TAS #2.

All explanations in this video are for version 2.2 of VVVVVV. Older and newer versions of the game change some of the details around slightly. Most notably, warp lines behave differently in 2.0, and many technical details have been changed in 2.3 (such as the std::vector of entities now being dynamically resized instead of always sitting at 200 slots).

I use the alt+enter glitch at the beginning to save time, then set my checkpoint in the T5 terminal teleporter room, then avoid checkpoints until I get the blue keycard and press R, skipping Valso. I set my checkpoint in the red keycard gate room, then head back to the blue keycard gate while avoiding checkpoints, and press R during the keycard gate cutscene so I can skip the Warp Zone. During the Space Station, I set my checkpoint in Upper Hand and avoid the rest of the checkpoints, then press R during the post-Space Station cutscene so when Viridian moves right, they get stopped by the moving platform and land exactly on the T5 terminal. At the green keycard gate, I land on the leftmost pixel of the ledge inside the activity zone, then press left and ACTION at the same time I press enter, to position myself above the gate but not go into it just yet, then I do an alt+enter during the cutscene to pass through the gate just as the warp tokens disappear. I do a wrong load to access the round teleporter spawned in the Deep Space entrance room, and then zip to the end of the level to rescue the last crewmate and finish the level.
