Known ways to improve score if you are wanting to dominate those leaderboards:
Take a smaller initial army, rather than nearly 3k points.
Do not pick up any supply crates.
Do not call in reinforcements.
Wait for as many daemons to spawn in each wave as possible then kill them all, rather than rushing to kill the first spawn early and ending the wave prematurely.
Play on higher difficulties for a better score modifier (might not actually help you get more score if it means your starting army must be much bigger).
